friday fragments

I'm joining Mrs. 4444 for Friday Fragments. You can join in here.

* I think this coughing is almost done after 16 days.  No more medicine and just a few cough drops.

* Picked up the crochet needle again.  Making boot cuffs and head bands for others.  Looking forward to getting  back to making baby hats for the hospital.

* Joel got to go to the Packer playoff game last Saturday.  No frost bit toes like a few years ago.  He was actually warm.  We look forward to the game this Saturday !!

* Phil has been ice fishing.  Brought home a 16" walleye and no one in our house had any idea what to do with it.  I was on the phone with my mom.  She fished and cleaned the fish with her dad.  So she gave Phil instructions over the phone.  He heads back to college on Sunday.

* Making homemade cream puffs (one of Joel and Phil's favorites) and whipping that heavy cream with powder sugar to fill the insides.

* Went out of the box and polished my nails navy blue.  Found it at the dollar store.  I like it too!

* Started a photo challenge yesterday that I saw on another friends blog.  It sounds like fun and it is just one picture a week.  I really need to get back into my blogging and picture taking.  Phil had a busy life through high school with his sports.  That kept us busy and so many photo opportunities.  We are in a different stage of our lives and sometimes just don't know what I could possibly take a picture of everyday like I use too.

Enjoy your weekend !!!

GO PACK GO !!!

  1. When we lived in Indiana, I used to get my nails done in Colts Blue this time of year.

While I'm at my nail tech guy, I do see many gals getting theirs done in Packer's colors.

    Your ff's aren't linked up over at Mrs. 4444's place yet - - - don't forget!

  2. Personally, I'm just glad it's Friday - this week has been interminable!

Is your baby hat pattern available online? (And did I already ask & you answered & I don't remember? Sheesh!) Thanks!

  3. Try steaming for that cough... if you dont have a steamer, boil a pot of water & put a towel over your head. Do it 3 times a day - it'll help break everything up & will get rid of that cough quickly!

  5. My husband and I are finally over whatever it is we've had since before Christmas. Like Rebecca Jo said, steam works really well. If nothing else, sit under a hot shower for a while. That's what I did and it really helped clear me up.

  6. Love that photo! And thankfully we missed the sickness this winter. At least so far....maybe I shouldn't say anything yet. :) Have a great weekend!

  7. I love your header. As far as trying new polish, I purchased several bottles of crazy colors to use with a group of young girls, but most go to a school that doesn't permit nail polish of any kind. I think it's time for blue toe nails, too. Great idea.

  8. Hate that the Pack lost yesterday! #18 is a former high school teammate of my 2 oldest boys. Great role-model!
I haven't gotten brave enough to try the navy blue nail polish, but I'm going to go for it very soon!

My 17 year old granddaughter had me using bright pink nail polish over the summer and it grew on me. I have blue but havn't tried it yet.
I just got a new camera for Christmas and keep forgetting I have it (I didn't have one for awhile)Good luck with your challenge.
