friday fragments

I'm joining Mrs. 4444 for Friday Fragments. You can join in here.

**It keeps snowing here.  Today is the first time in quite awhile those little flakes aren't flying around.

**Love when Phil comes home from school and requests meals.  Lasagna was the first one this past weekend..

**Also, I like it when he comes home and his red beard his gone.  I was calling him my Amish son.  Anxious to see him this weekend.  He got new glasses.

**Phil is bringing a friend home for supper Friday night.  He wanted us to meet "HER".  He picked out the menu and can I say my son cracks me up.

**Tried a new cabbage recipe for supper Tuesday night.  Joel and my brother couldn't stop eating it.  Slice a cabbage so you have large circle, sprinkle with olive oil, garlic salt and pepper.  Bake at 400 for 20-30 minutes YUM!!

**I am in a apple pie contest on Saturday at the local fairgrounds. I had to enter my pie recipe and  got a call that I made the top 10. I have to make two pies, one for the judges and the other I have to make a small display. The theme is baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and cheese?  There are many people around here that put cheddar cheese on top of their apple pie.  No thank you !

Have a great weekend !!

  1. Oh, thanks for stopping by.........the cabbage sounds divine and I will be trying it. I do love me some cabbage!

Good luck in the pie contest, impressive for sure and I'm with you, no cheese on apple pie. I'm thinking cinnamon sprinkled on top is perfection!

    Happy weekend!

I'm not a cabbage fan, but that sounds delicious! :)

Oooh! Good luck with the apple pie contest! Here's hoping the blue ribbon is awarded to you! :)

  5. Oh, thank goodness we have no snow and our rain seems to be over. It is cold, way too cold for me.
