Cars are such a pain. Gas, repairs, oil changes, washing, cleaning etc....
But we have to have them.
I have been without a car for a year and a half. The boys would take turns taking me to work and picking me up. Sometimes I would walk because it is not that far. It seemed to work fairly good until Phil left this household.
I told Joel I would really like to get a car soon. Example: He was out of town on Monday and I was going to walk home that day. Couldn't do that because it was raining. My dear friend/neighbor Diane came and got me. I told Joel I really don't care what it looks like I would just like 4 tires, 2 doors and a steering wheel. If the top would go on and off that would be o.k. for me too. Laughing as I said it.
Well look what we found on Craigslist. It is a 1996 car with 109,000 miles on it.
We went and checked it out, test drove it, checked under the hood and even drove with the top down for about 5 minutes (60 degrees). We both thought this was a great deal and thought about the fun we can have in the summer.
So here I am in my new car. I couldn't be happier.
Congrats on the new car! We're looking for one for me too. You look good in this one!
