this and that in my life today

Had kinda a modge podge day. 

Every Friday morning I leave the house at 6:30 a.m. and head to the bagel house.

There I meet 2 ladies in the bathroom.  What -the bathroom you say???

We have been doing this for eight weeks.  We weigh in.  Yep, stand on the scale for all to see and get a little cheer from them when you lose weight.  Then we head into the bagel place for our weekly bagel, coffee and catch up from the past week. 

I am losing weight and feel great !!!!

Joel took me out to lunch with another one of our gift cards (which we love) and I splurged.

I have pretty much cut carbs out of my life but I indulged today. 

Can you telll a difference??

 We had a huge and I mean huge down pour today.  And it really hurt my heart because Philip's first ball game was cancelled.  There was standing water everywhere.  Joel and I even headed over to the field and scoped it out.  Do we have anything to say about it - NO.  Just wanted to see howbad it was. It stopped this afternoon so hoping a doubleheader will be played tomorrow.

Did some baking - Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread

 and chocolate chips bars.  This is so easy.  Two tubes of chocolate chip cookie dough pressed on the bottom of the pan, mix up a box of brownie mix, pour over cookie dough, top with chocolate chips and bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

A big shout out for my father-in-law who is celebrating his 75th birthday today.
