Dad is doing so much better....

My dad has been in rehab since Friday. Doing everything for himself now. And using the walker, motoring, I mean walking slowly down the hallways. He has OT and PT from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. And at 2 he is ready for a nap.
So overall he is doing great and I thank God everyday for letting my dad feel better.

One thing different from his heart attack from others is that he is also recovering from back surgery. So he basically has a double whammy. Each day he gets stronger is better for his heart. And he gets that much closer to going to the heart hospital to see what is actually wrong with his heart.

He is anxious to go home, be in his own bed, have mom's cooking etc.... patience. That is in my daily prayers for him. Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." One of my favorite passages.

And don't know why but since this all happened I have not picked up my camera, have no desire to take a picture - odd ????

I need to get out of this funk and start doing something that I love to do. We leave on vacation next Friday I am thinking it should come back to me then.

So again, thank you friends for your prayers. Think during all of this how much my family has leaned on Christ for comfort, understanding, peace and love. Knowing that the Lord was and is in control. My dad's total care was in his hands. And then you think about the people who do not know the Lord and go through something like this. Where do they find their peace? I am so thankful for my parents bringing me up to know the Lord. Knowing that the Lord is always with us and hears our prayers. There is just something about the power of prayer.
