Day 157 -Hoop & Needle

I decided that I wanted to do something relaxing in the evening. I brought the hoop and needle back. I started embroidery on pillowcases. Maybe this is the start of some Christmas gifts.

  1. going through my Aunt's house, we found so many of these projects...seems she would start them but never finish them! ha! I considered bringing some home to finish, but didn't think I'd have time

  6. Beautiful! My grandmother used to embroider items and seeing your photo took me right back to my childhood and standing over her to watch her.

  8. Yay you! We're probably the last generation (en masse) that even knows how to do this sort of thing! I recently brought back my crocheting, and got my hands on some embroidery patterns as well...with intent...

I have promised myself to finish everything I start now, as opposed to what I did years back, so I have to finish up the yarn I (over)purchased, and THEN I can start the embroidery. I'll post any progress on my blog...don't hold your breath though. It's starting to get in the way of my stamping! Can't have THAT happen! :-)
